The Jesuits enjoy a reputation for academic excellence and Regis University is part of an association of Jesuit schools with impressive names like Loyola, Fordham, Xavier, Boston College, and Georgetown.
I limited myself to taking classes at Regis and had little exposure to Jesuit thought or tradition. That has come mostly after graduation. Regis maintains contact with its alumni and their materials have a spiritual focus. They are actually more concerned with my spiritual growth and the impact I have on society as an alum than the other universities that I have graduated from. There will always be some significant differences between my evangelical point of view and the Catholic tradition but I am challenged by the Jesuits and have much to agree with them about.
